Recognise any similarities here?
I've heard this before, but I just can't think where.

Welcome to Day 2 of the Kragen O'Reilly NHRA Winternationals.
12:30 p.m. Just when it looked like we were getting close, it has begun to rain again and the wind has picked up. The sky, which had begun to clear somewhat , has now darkened.
11:35 a.m. A brief rainshower 10 minutes ago seems to have only been a minor setback. Track drying continues and there are even a few nitro crew chiefs checking out the starting line.
11 a.m. Track drying continues. I'd estimate that the track is probably 20-30 percent dry. The jet dryers are running and hand crews are assisting. No time has been set yet for the start of the day's action.
10:05 a.m. The sun has actually made an appearance and the call has gone out to begin drying the track again.
9:30 a.m. Rain has resumed, but has lightened considerably in the last few minutes.
9:15 a.m.: Friday dawned cold and rainy, but rain began to relent at 9 a.m,. and the world-famous NHRA Safety Safari hit the track with brooms and hand blowers to begin moving water off the racetrac.

Probably not the start NHRA was looking for either when all the left-hand lane 1000ft times are blatantly wrong. Looks very like the clocks were being stopped by the 924ft speed trap beam rather than the 990ft (1000ft) beam to me. Any other time I'm sure they would have declared the whole session null and void.
As taken from www.nhra.com
"Due to a malfunction in the wiring system, it has been determined that the times recorded by Antron Brown and Joe Hartley were not correct. Those times have been determined to be invalid and will not be officially recorded. NHRA is confident that the two cars in question were among the 16 quickest cars, but because it's impossible to assign times, the ladder will remain intact. Also, NHRA will not be awarding qualifying points for this race for Top Fuel drivers."
Thanks NHRA, sort it out!!
