AFAIK, it's not headed for SE, but if I see young Mr. Dewey tomorrow, I'll ask. Given the motor spec also, I imagine it's more of a weekend play thing (that you can sit and look at and think 'phwoooooar...').

Nice Car just tell him the battery does not look fixed the positive terminal requires insulating and I can`t see the earth wire to the fuel tank filler ring. Just before some scrutineer nit picks

Congratulations, very good looking 57...lick

Reminds me of Peter Wacker´s "Roofers Toy" Mk1,
that was an original car, steel body & bumpers,
he sold it and it sort of never appeared again.

Benni

Benni I think you mean the first version of Peter's 57 when it was black,
later he painted it green with the white top and added lots of plastic body parts,
I have lots of pics of "Roofers Toy" over the years where you can spot all the things changed, but it was the same car all the time.
I know very well because I am the happy owner right now and the car is not half as nice as the 57 above.

version 1 steel nose

version 2 steel doors

version 2 plastic doors

Oh Oh, so I was there at the dutch finals and did not realize
that your 57 was the one.......getmecoat
Due to other events, I can only make the trip to DragTen for the finals in 09,
so I will see you there, or maybe earlier at Hockenheim ?
