Morning gents!

I have the honour of driving the Rarri on the Top Gear test track in June -- and for charity!

Is anyone else signed up? And does anyone have any recommendations for one-day insurance I can look into?

FYI www.thesupercarevent.com/index.php/2015-event

Cheers, Cod

(BTW I know it's not reaaally a track day, but kinda...)

Good stuff guys - I'll be there on the Saturday doing some ham-fisted drifting/donuts in the Caterham.

It's a brilliant family event that raises a lot of money for a superb charity, so get down there everyone!

Nice one Dalto, Neal. I've actually had a Caterham passenger lap at the event a previous year, great fun!! Must cost a fortune in tyres though LOL

Hi mate, yes and no! I had difficulty with some providers (e.g. Competition Car seemed a bit unsure of how appropriately marshalled it will be and so on) but I'll be taking up Moris' quote of £221 for one day at £60k insured value. I sent them a link to the event so there's no confusion over what it is, and their quote says "public day, Dunsfold Park".

As an aside, that's not far off a third of my annual insurance bill so it didn't feel like the best value, but I've never insured a car for track use before and of course I know it's a very different risk than an annual premium for sleeping on peacock feathers in a heated garage most of the time! Would be grateful if anyone with more experience said that's reasonable though.

Cheers gents, see you there! Cod driving

Doesn't sound miles off to me Cod, at that agreed value. See you at the event smile

Went with Moris too. May have to just get a policy that includes it in future as it was nearly £200 for me (cheaper car than yours)

Good day guys? Gutted I had to miss it, but broken alternator on Thursday and just couldn't get it sorted in time for Saturday.
