I've always fancied trying out the Goodwood circuit. Tried booking on their site and all dates are grayed out until July. There are some dates available on trackdays.co.uk but the price is £300 more than the official site! Am I missing something? Is there another option?

On their site they are either sold out or GRRC Members only ones.

There are a few different companies that do Goodwood ones. Directly is always a little cheaper though.

It is a special place, with low numbers and even better marketing.

Though there are other special places that have the benefit of runoff…

I think if you pay for a Fellowship (c. £80) you can book for some of the GRRC track days, they are even a little more special, and, I assume cheaper.

If you’ve not done Goodwood before, build slowly, and, don’t go beyond 9/10s. It bites more often than anywhere else I know.

Goodwood is a simply wild circuit but does come at a premium price.

Have you tried Thruxton ? Similar styled circuit at fraction of the cost.

And for some reason Javelin days you can overtake both sides vs most other is left only.

Has anybody done one of the Fellowship days?

How are driving standards?

It too quick and short for overtake on the left only to really work if you get mixture of abilities and capabilities.

Goodwood scares me more than the ring and I’ve done the ring when it snowed once. It’s a wild crazy lap.

Thruxton is similar and some TD have run overtake either side days to combat.

All my Javelin days have been left overtaking only + also not when you see people braking for a corner.

I've done a few trackdays at Goodwood with higher noise limits - so just 7 on track at once. It worked fine. I didn't see anyone getting held up. I guess it might depend on the TDO.

IMHO it’s more the number on track the 10+ days is where it gets a bit crowded if left only.

You can book certain car club Goodwood days as a non-member. The Lancia Motor Club for example. Bear in mind though, if you're in a modern powerful machine, you'll be sharing the track with mainly classic cars.
I've done Goodwood a few times, and it's brilliant, especially for older less powerful cars with limited braking. Numbers on track are limited to 10, maybe 12. The last time I went, I got loads of track time in the afternoon.

It's over £400 these days, but that includes the posh luncheon.
