I run Goodyear Eagle F1s on my e36 M3 evolution on the road and have a second set of wheels with Yokohama A046s for track days (Mitsibish Evo JDM fitment). Problem is that I'm doing the Trackdays.co.uk Silverstone track evening on Wednesday 18th and at the moment the weather forcast says rain.

Does anybody know how are the Yokos likely to perform in the wet? It isn't really practical to take two sets of tyres so I would need to decide beforehand.

I know that the Yokos don't like standing water but I'm hoping that with some heat in them they will be better than the F1s, even in the wet. The F1s are the older (non asymmetric) type. I would say that both sets are pretty well matched for wear.

Suggestions?

Hoping somebody here has some experience...

I doubt there would be much difference. It's not like you're comparing a semi-slick to a road tyre.

At a push I'd go with the Eagle F1, if only because the A046s take longer to warm up.
