Anyone going? I plan to....

I've raced there before, so I know what to expect (and where the worst bits to go off are!), but this is the first time I've done a track day...

Q: The car I'm taking (on a trailer) doesn't have an MOT & hasn't for quite some time. I expect it would more or less pass one - probably it would fail on emissions - what kind of scrutineering do they do to ensure the cars are "roadworthy"?

None, usually. I was at a Cadwell trackday on Monday and it was very relaxed. I think these rules are more a condition of booking, and hence the responsibility of the driver, than anything that is enforced.

My friend and I are going, we have M3 that is also "off road" so trailer up for the day. Only thing is noise test to pass, less than 105db. See you there!

Cool, mine's not an M3 unfortunately, just the boggo 325i "sport". Unfortunately, it looks like the LSD might be in trouble (seems to have leaked all its oil), so it might only manage a few laps before expiring....

Just got the engine oil, water, brake fluid, brake pads, gearbox oil & diff oil to change/replenish, a bit of that liquid gasket muck on any leaky seals, jobs a good 'un biggrin
