Hi folks, just a general question really, out of simple interest.

I am big fan of trackdays, but have only attended UK events. I was wondering what the trackday 'scene' was like around the rest of the globe.

I know in the UK, you can get yourself onto a track most days of the year if you look hard enough, just wondered if other countries were similar...?

Cheers

I really wanted to do Kayalami in SA last year when we were out there, but couldn't find any days listed during the 3 week period we were there frown

I've done Dijon & Spa (a couple of times) as part of the BaT team, but got loads of track time in nonetheless. Awesome circuits cool

Ireland - one track, Mondello Park, no real scene. Try an attend a trackday there a month or even bi-monthly.

Northern Ireland - one track for cars, Kirkistown, two for bikes, Kirkistown and Bishopscourt, no idea if there's much of a scene up there. Haven't been up there yet but planning it in the near future.

Lots of tracks in France, some UK TDOs use the popular ones located in the Northern (Abeville, Croix, Le Mans and more), quite reasonable for travelling there from Southern England.

Hi,

European trackdays run by European TDOs are fun. I did a Porsche Club Franchorchamps day at Spa. They allow overtaking on either side and around the corners, so more like a UK test day. They also do a regulation competition thingy where you can win a prize for the most consistent lap times (hence you are allowed to time).

Cheers, Joanna

There are loads of UK TDO's who organise european track days-check out Lotus On Track, Autotrack, Easytrack, Book a Track and Goldtrack.

We have just come back from Abbeville, France where we held our first track day. It went down well and the weather was great. Running some more days there in August. Check out our thread at the top of this forum for more details.
