Goodwood Motor Circuit

Fantastic track, fast and flowing with the exception of the chicane.
No barriers though, only earth banks with old tyres wedged into them. Not a place to go off!!
Very very quick and rewarding. Tends to be quite testing of the left front tyre so make sure you have a good amount of tyre before going.

Lots of double apex corners, so good lines are essential. It used to be one of the fastest circuits in the country, so it requires respect. As stated py previous posters, massively rewarding when you get it right and the speeds out the back will make most other places feel mundane.........From the start line you are pretty much flat for about the first third of the circuit. Enjoy.
Great track with a lovely "real" feel when you are there. Good Marshalling too. Did 5 days there in the S Works, Wet and dry, and all were the most fun I have had at a track day.
Just need to get a different diff in the new car now as it tops out at 115
either that or move nearer to Cadwell

Your MINI? If so that's a short diff! i've seen 160mph (GPS) in mine!Just need to get a different diff in the new car now as it tops out at 115

No No No, the Works has gone! I've bought an MK Indy R1
The nice thing about my days at GW were that each time I went I had added something to the car. Biggest difference? The coilovers/camber plates and R888s. Must have taken at least 10 seconds of a lap.
FOr the record the MINI got up to about 125 on a good lap at GW - depends how brave you want to be at the corner that nearly killed Stirling Moss...;) Wher the MINI excelled was through the second half. Anyway you'll love it. Let me know if you go for it and I'll come down and watch for a bit and have a cuppa
Only 20 mins from me.
What are you bringing - the MINI or the VX?

I'll let you know when i go, it'll be in the VX220 though, not my pansy FWD shopping trolley
Hey - I tell you what, you'll have been surprised how good the MINI would be around there
The punch they have on the fast bits more than makes up for the slight disadvantage on the corners
Is it a day only GRRC members can do? Don't remember seeing it on the calender?

it's a GRRC only day.I'm sure the MINI would be good, but my VX220 will be better!
ETA. And my VX220 is sorted for tracks, the MINI is quick but i'd be worried about oil surge etc as it's not designed for hardcore trackdays.

I really enjoy goodwood - it's an excellent, but fast and challenging circuit. It might appear largely flat but there are planty of adverse cambers and the like to keep you entertained. It's also short enough to learn quickly and improve throughout the day. As Ben said, have a care, there's not much runoff.
Added into the mix, you can have lunch at the Kennels. Pretty expensive tho, but with 15 cars you'd get plenty of track time.
