Hello all I've booked a track day with Javelin at woodbridge on the 18th October. If any one on here is going I'll be in the red Honda civic. Come and say hi.

Guys, I'm considering this but a little concerned with the noise limit.

I'm driving a TVR Cerbera with sports pipe and decat and don't want to drive all that way and pay £119 to be black flaged, what you think?

Do they have noise monitors at drive by?

The noise limit is 102DB but thats static not drive by. If you are running a standard exhaust with the catalytic convertors in then it should be ok. If you have removed the cats or running a different exhaust I'd be quite doubtful.

102db is preety loud. My mate has a TVR cerbera and was OK at bedford on static but had to dip clutch on drive by or short shift.

You can alway jump in my car if it doesn`t work out. Should be Ok though

I have a provisional booking for this - most probably will end up going...will make a call on Monday morning after my outing at Hullavington with MSE.

If I'm going, I'll be taking a stripped-out black Supra Mk3 3.0i. smile

Awesome day yesterday, the weather couldn't have been better! Nice to meet you Scott! smile

The track was busier than I had expected - looks like a lot of people waited until the last minute before confirming their bookings, waiting to see what the weather forecast looked like!

Shame about the suspension problem I had about an hour before closing time - my left front shock was dumping fluid all over the wheel arch, and I had to call it a day early... frown I guess it's time to go shopping for new shocks!

Glad you all had a good day. Liking the sideways action by the red beemer and the green mazda was a lot faster than I thought it was going to be! I got pulled in by the marshalls to be told my wheel was loose but its in fact the rear suspension bush completely knackered and letting the wheel move side to side - it was those damm bumps near the hangars that done it!!

Hello Andy and Mark

That was me in the red beemer trying to get the rear out. Not many circuits ( race tracks ) will let you do that.

Great day out and nice to meet Andy and Nick ( nice guys )

Good luck with the shopping list Andy!!!!!!! I am on the net as we speak looking for a coilover set for the bm.

Hopefully you guys will stay in touch and let me know when you are going on another day??????

I really fancy Snetterton or Bedford autodrome next time

Let me know

Scott

I've ordered some compressed gas shocks for the Supra - and whilst I was at it, some new track rod ends too as they're rusted solid and the tracking is significantly off to the left! smile

Should be a good car once they've been fitted...

Not sure about the next track day yet - I'm toying with the idea of returning to Woodbridge for the 3rd time this year on 15th November, but that'll depend on work commitments.
