Fab day - Donington 8 Oct - Bookatrack
Discussion
Just wanted to say what a great day it was today at Donington Park.
Great weather laid on by Jonny, not too many cars, oodles of track time, much of it with a clear empty circuit stretching ahead of you, (pretty) good track etiquette, and the icing on the cake: the GP circuit in the morning and the National in the afternoon.
I'd never done the GP circuit and now I know I don't need to do it agan ...
Oh, and special thanks to DiscoColin for bravely letting me drive his GT3.

I had a good day too, I only got the Exige (the red one) a month ago, and that was it's first time on track.
And the first track day a Lotus of mine hasn't broken (despite finding the gravel when I decided to see if it could take the Craners without lifting - it can't, I need to do some work on the geo. I think
or maybe my driving.....)
There was a good mix of cars on track, and some pretty exotic stuff making an appearance - how quickly did that Juno appear in the mirrors???

Hi Mark, that was me, trying the car for the first time since bought it. it was awesome, much quicker than my old SR3. Can't wait to race it next year! Glad you enjoyed the dayAndrewD said:

Glad you enjoyed the dayI did feel sorry for you a couple of times - pretty sure I baulked you once or twice while I was dealing with slower cars and you were flying up behind us.

No problems mate - your hands are still probably a fair bit safer than mine, but by next year I'll get the geo done and some stickier tyres than PS2s on it, so the handling ought to be a bit more like you are used to then.If Carlsberg did trackdays... Well done to the BaT guys
I would like to add a thankyou to everyone there as the driving standards and etiquette were the best I have yet come across on a track day and sorry if I held anyone up too much at any point, but I am still learning...
