Yup. Two of us heading up in the morning. Me in a white Megane R26 and Phil in a red Clio Trophy.

we'll be there in our new hot wheels mega machine......well actually a bog standard 1.6 MX5. This is a dry run for getting the car set up for driver coaching with Kieren Clark, my nephew who is a Palemr sport instructor and Formula Renault UK racer, so reasonably handy behind the wheel.cool

Thw car is Subaru blue, with roll cage so should be easy to spot us, so come and have a chat if you want to talk about some serious coaching either in our car or yours.

cheers,fingers crossed on the weather.
Steve

I had a great day all in all. The weather was 'interesting' on the way up in the morning but at least it stopped by the time we got there. Not having done much track driving before and not having taken the Megane out at all, it was very interesting feeling the track change as the day went on.

A couple of pics...

Hi Dave, not done much on a track in my Cerb either. A bit tricky to handle 400bhp with no traction control, ABS, or those other gizmos, on a twisty wet track. Got better as the track dried but the surface could still catch you out. Like the way your mate in the Clio was saving his tyres by using only three wheels going round the corners. All in all a good day. Think I will do more of these track days as monies allow.

Sorry for not popping over to say hello!

We did comment that it must have been a bit hairy driving the Cerb around there. I couldn't believe how greasey it was towards the end of the morning session.

lol @ Simon and his 3 wheel trick! hehe We were out from around just gone 4 until they red flagged the session at 4.45, I'd got a bit of confidence by then so was following Simon to get an idea of cornering speeds that were possible (I think we were up to 105 ish round the banked corner by then.) We parked up in the garage to let everything cool down and his brakes were bright red and had smoke pouring off as we didn't get a cool down lap!

Any chance I can have copies of the two of my Megane?

You are welcome to save the copies as long as you leave watermark in place (large size is available through all sizes on Flickr). I dont put horrible invassive watermarks on cars like others do so I realize you could crop them out but ask that you dont.

Otherwise I have a very nominal charge, without watermark a fiver for all of your car. (for personal use only)
