I'm very much looking forward to my first track day this Sunday, who else will be there?

I'll be driving the Cerbera, which I've owned for over 4 years now but never tracked it, can't wait. Lets up it's dry!

I will be there in a Locoblade with carbon effect bodywork, look forward to meeting you. I really like the National circuit the corner at the end of the national straight makes the 'stadium' section much more interesting. I dont like Club or Vale on the GP circuit, very dull in a car without down force. Therefore only miss out on corner at end of hangar straight.

Thanks to my teenage son (children who'd have em!) and his sport, which uses all my spare cash and time I hardly get out in the car these days so this is only my second event this year. I havent done anything in the car prior to that for about 3 years. This and a UNI course on top of working full time meant I nearly sold it. Like you I hope its dry, absolutely no grip whatsoever in the wet with this car with Yoko track day tyres

Really looking forward to this weekend, and catching up with Melindi again after a long time away from Goldtrack!

Ian

I'm looking forward to it. We don't often get to do the National circuit (and we don't often get out on a Sunday either). It'll be a nice change to have a small day at Silverstone.

Haven't looked at the forecast yet though - as long as we don't end up clearing up in a post trackday blizzard I'll be happy!

Melindi, do you sell clean underware for post "near misses"? If so can I reserve some please - Large for me and small for my passenger (his only got a small bottom). Ta Si

Cats are now back on just in case, but my Cerb is not as loud as some - actually the difference between cat and decat on my cerb is not that different unless high rev'ing!

I'll be amazed if it is over the 105db's limit with the cats back on.

Hi SI-PEN

Locoblade is cheap fun sevenesque car originally built by Ian Gray with fireblade engine. IF its cold and I seem to be rather still in the drivers seat, dont ignore me Ive probably got hyperthermia!

Ian, must go like stink?

If you seem rather still then I would say your frozen, lets hope it stays mild for you.

OH Great! Currently looks like heavy rain for the next 4 days Fri, Sat, Sun & Monday.

At least the forecast can't get any worse. Looks like you "open top boys" will be getting rather wet. The temperture will be in the teens though so it won't be freezing.

It's very hard to find a good site for it. Silverstone Sid showed me a really good one for about 7 hours ahead but... I los the link and haven't seen him since.

It was a French site and that's all I can remember.

Sorry Simon, but it actually indicates rain much earlier, did you press the Sunday button?

Nevetheless a key factor to enjoying trackdays is not to obsess about weather forcasts, they are rarely accurate when it comes to rain which can be highly localised. Just relax and deal with what comes our way.

In my sixties technology car with modern dry weather tyres that usually means the nearest gravel trap!

My most embarrassing Goldtrack trackday moment was in the good old days when Silverstone ran its own trackday just before the Classic race meeting (it was called something else then, after some auction company or other I cant remember)on the Historic layout. Next Goldtrack day forgot they used GP layout, on sighting lap straight into the gravel at Vale! Luckily Vale is before the Abbey chicane because on the Historic lay out its a flat out left, could have been nasty!!!

Yep you're right but I'd still like it to be dry if possible, but hey - whatever! See ya Sunday.
