6 point harness - avoiding the family jewels?
Discussion
Help please!
I have a 4 point Schroth harness, which is upgradable to a 6 point one.
I have the V attachment to make it a 6 point, but when lining it up (to see where I need to weld the eye bolt plate) I can't get it to go round the ol' meat and two veg comfortably.
The problem (disappointingly) is not to do with the size of my package....more that the V belt attachment is squeezed in by the hole in the seat, so as to almost render it a 5 point harness.
The hole in the seat is standard (about 3" wide), but the stiffness of the V belts, and their adjustment buckles don't give enough clearance.
Anyone else had a similar problem...and solved it??

I try to have the lap straps tight over my pelvis (where they should be) it's just the jewels are close to the hole in the seat...and the hole in seat pushes the V straps together, causing nippage on the scrotage (IYSWIM).
I guess it is marginally better than a 5 point, but in an accident I would fear for the worst still!
