Pirelli Corsa's vs 888r's ??
Discussion
Hi folks, has anyone used BOTH of these ON A TRACK, i can buy the Corsas for half the money, i also have a set of track rims so thats what they will be used for. I have 888's on the front of my Cerbera at the mo and used them at Oulton a few weeks ago and they were stunning, but they are pricey especially when i have access to a much cheaper option. Cheers Brum.

Ive used both,Corsa r tyres are they hardcore track tyre that are directly comparable to the r888s.
I found the r888s had better grip but wore out quicker (not sure what compound I had at the time)
Corsas seem to last much longer for me ,6-7 track days instead of 4 for the r888s, were not quite a grippy in the dry, but were close.
R888s are normally about 60% of the cost so Corsas are worth it for the extra longevity.
Are you sure you are getting quoted for the corsa r?

Thanks for the info, i'll give the corsas a go then. Yep deffo Corsas
Just to complicate things, the last time I heard tell of Corsas it emerged that there were more than one kind...
there is a corsa system tyre, which is more of a road tyre but still designed for the track.
it has some central circumferential grooves on it.
Then there is the corsa R which is just has the S shaped grooves and Im sure that one is more expensive
