I should be putting my track car back together over the Christmas holidays, was wondering what brake pads you lot recommend to fit the standard size discs and calipers. The car's running standard power levels, just a bit lighter than standard.

On a tight budget ebc yellows worked ace for me in the e30 tracker, with bigger budget most go pagid yellow, they are a lot more tho.

Sorting brake cooling v important tho, & new fluid/braided lines & backing plates off.

I'm hearing good things about the Ferodo DS3000

Anyone had experience of both to compare

Yep ... I've run DS3000's in the past and use XP8's now .

DS3000's have more initial bite than the XP8's but the XP8's have better modulation . DS3000's are just about indestructible whereas I have cooked a set of XP8's .

Real down side to DS3000 is that they cover your wheels and the sides of your car in tiny bits of red hot metal redface They will kill your paint work .

You could also look at Performance Friction PF .10 supposed to be rather good .
