Trackday virgin seeks car
Discussion
Hi, after im advice as always.
I have a Nissan GTR coming in july, my dream being to get some track days in asap.
Ive therefore decided to get my self a cheap car to learn the art before the GTR comes.Upto about 2k ish
Needs to be an auto as im disabled, and not too big if poss as ill be trailering it about, ie no jags, granadea or carltons.
In fact smaller the better. I do have a slyva striker with auto box, would i be better spending money on this. Have just had the engine rebuilt so know thats ok.
Just not sure of a good small track day toy that comes in an auto.
Do your best guys and girls

Yep agreed. Sounds like a job for a nice old 325 auto barge. Will be very slow and somewhat fustrating on track I guess because of the auto box but you will certianly get to learn the tracks and the procedures before the beast arrives.
Would be adviseable to change brake pads and fluid, get some cheap ebay springs and dampers and perhaps a cheap rear roll cage and proper harness to help stop you rolling around amke it safer so your going to be very tight with 2K but should at least do the job.
