Today at Brands Hatch the track was closed due to Ice and Snow

Anyone else there?

Lotus On track day at Snetterton was Canned after lunch so i hear,

a very slippy day across most of the Uk.

I take it they refunded you or give you a credit for another day. Their is no way they could of let anyone on track it would of been totally wrong in those conditions & you would not have enjoyed it anyway on black ice ! I don't bother with trackdays this time of the year for this reason. Goodluck on the next one its a shame the weather was so cold on your 1st day as i expect its something you've been looking foward to.

I went to Brands today with Dudd for my first track day. I think it was the right decision to call it off based on the conditions, they simply could not clear the ice/snow without it re-freezing again.

Apparently they will be re-booking or refunding people on Monday, I will be re-booking ASAP - let me know what happens with this Nick.

Obviously it was very frustrating to go all that way for it to be called off, but better than risking it in that sort of conditions. Cant wait until next time though, after all being ready to go and seeing how it all works, I am even more excited about getting on the track!

Yeah they will let us rebook, or do whatever. I've been told to expect a phone call on Monday with the options.

But as said, in those conditions it would have been quicker to lap by foot.
