Is anyone attending? Will it be your first time on track? What will you be driving?

Hopefully it will be nice and dry tomorrow, the forecasts OK.

If anyone wants any special photos, make sure that you drop me a line and let me know what you are looking for. You can reach me at the track tomorrow on my mobile 07968 198666 or by speaking to any of the staff.

Make sure your cars are at least reasonably clean!

See you all tomorrow.

I'm there for the morning in an Integra Type R (DC2) with a couple mates in an Elise and an Elan. Second time on track but first was in a 998cc mini so should be slightly different...

Anyone see that VX220 blow up? must have looked pretty cool if you were following. Hope it doesnt cost too much to repair, but i expect there might have been some melted bodywork!! Andy

I only saw it from a distance but I was called over to help out with the recovery (his VX was missing it's removable towing eye, my VX always has it's fitted).

It didn't look like the fire damage was too bad, however the hole in the side of the engine will probably cost him dear.

Can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon "Great Fun".

Not so much fun for the Nissan as it failed the drive by sound limit Be warned the limit is set, if you break it, your are off, shame we did not get a chance to check it first, no sure how we are supposed to know how loud it is?

I now think i could be addictive, and will be booking my next session very soon. Just need to get some new tyres.

You can book a pre-trackday noise test directly with the circuit.

There are 4 DB meters, assuming your doing the GT circuit which is the whole lot of them bolted together.

1: In the middle of the grass coming out of the west pits on the first hairpin. This is set quite far in and i was told that it doesnt catch too many people

There isnt another for a while now.

2. Fairly open right hander with the marshall tower on the inside of the corner
3. 2 left handers after number 2 you are racing quite close to a wall on your right just before what i would consider the slowest/sharpest corner on circuit, this is the one that catches most people changing down into second and blipping the revs out of gear...
4. after the sharp left hander and then the slightly quicker right hander you end up on another quite quick straight, there is one on your left half way down, (i got caught by this one on my first go)

They appear as about 1 metre high black poles embedded in the grass.

For anyone who cares i was in the black 350z, met some nice people there and other than knocking the diff on a speed bump on the way in was a great day smile

Also, as this is my first post, Hi

Hello to all, We did spot 2 of the locations, but it was to late, trouble is you don't really want to back off when you get on the track, so we will me make some changes to the exhaust system to reduce the sound a little.
I have been looking at the website for track day dates at bedford and there seems to be nothing after March, anyone know if this normal? Quite like the half day events and realy am looking forward to going again.

Track availability at Bedford is dependant on their PalmerSport days. You will probably find that days will become available a bit closer to the event.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but if you book a noise test and then fail, can you get a refund on your trackday?
