The track was dry all day and grip levels were superb. Lots of very fast machinery around - the 2 TVR's going like the clappers (red + green) -- the other bright green Jap thingie with the rear wing was also flying along, mind you the engine was bit smokey but it lasted the day. Couple of well driven Caterhams buzzing around.
Driving stds seemed reasonable considering how many newbies were there -- but still rather too many red flags for visits to the kitty litter & breakdowns. Thought provoking video! -- no place to put the drivers left elbow between gear changes though, always been a TVR problem!! Some black flags as well -- and did the dreaded dB monster take some victims! As mentioned above - not a good day to be a Ferrari owner, when visiting an earth bank backwards at pace.
Nige - real shame about your engine, just as you were out having some fun. Never seen a Golf engine stripped so quickly in a paddock though !! If anyone can have it up and running soon you can.
I was struggling a bit with settings fot the rear of the car -- I suspect the shock absorbers need refreshing as even on full hard the back was wallowing a bit. So much fun running round with the 968 possee and good banter in the pits/cafe.
Was absolutely cream crackered when I got home, a good day -- 'til the next time

The Green TVR and the other Green thingie was both of my sons,
The mazda smokes a bit because it runs a 2 stroke mix in the petrol (helps to keep the rotor tips lubed)
Good bit of video Paul, you must be the quickest person on the track whilst only using on hand on the wheel

Nice to meet you again mate and thanks for the Carbon lorrain pads they are the best.

Got black flagged twice in the gt3, with the noise police, but managed to stay for most of the day with a little restraint!!!
Just checked the spec on your Cerbera, brummie, which made me feel a bit better
, man that is one quick car!!! I thought the gt3 had the handbrake on when you came past!!!!
Brilliant day though, shame about the fezza, I would have been crying.....

I was there in the MK2 Golf. Really getting into the swing of it when my engine let go. Some poor bloke in a 106 was following me, we`d been doing a few laps following each other and he got a face full of smoke when my engine went. We had the head off and damage diagnosed in 40 mins
Unfortunately it was Terminal
.I took my towcar for a few steady laps in the afternoon instead(Black Mazda 6).
Cracking day, although the women at the end of the pitlane seemed to let cars out into the middle of oncoming traffic with alarming regularity...

Paul.I though you had a LS Chevy engine in that car of yours. I was with the 968 boys , And had a "mooch" about the pits, noticed your car with its bonnet up + had a look...NICE......

Was it an easy install into you car.??? As im guessing its not the original engine, although im no TVR expert...

Install was relatively straight forward, it was the first one on the road but now there are a few about, mine being the largest cc that i know of. Glad you liked it!
