Anyone know where to get a decent feed near Rockingham circuit? I'm organising food for the BARC Westy racers before the 1st race at Rockingham in a couple of weeks.

Cheers

Uppingham's just up the road and has quite a few good pubs. Nice town. I've never eaten out there, but it's the sort of place that will have a couple of decent restaurants.

Hi,

How many people and what sort of thing are you looking for?

I live about 6 miles away, so could give some options

I live in Uppingham wavey

For cheap and cheerful pub grub you've got The Vaults, for a little bit more (but still not expensive) is Don Paddy's, both in the Market Square. Personally the latter gets my vote, especially their awesome burgers. 12 of us ate there on Friday and it was excellent! Other advantage of Uppingham is the road to get there from Rockingham is awesome wink

I'd also recommend the Neville Arms at Medbourne and the Hatton Arms at Gretton.

Finally the White Hart at Lyddington is lovely but not as cheap as the above.

Enjoy beer

Having worked at, and stayed around Rockingham since it was opened, and sampled most of the local eateries, the one I would recommend for good quality, inexpensive food, is the Plough Inn at Caldecott (tel: 01536 770284). It is on the A6003, 3 miles from the circuit going towards Uppingham. If you have any special requests, like I asked for Blue Stilton & Port, they will endeavour to provide. HTH Howard
