Amazing little bumper camera

I have just ordered one of these;

It is small enough to go on the front bumper and the quality of video is actually pretty good (480p).

For the sake of a tenner I thought it was worth while. A friend and I are going to re package it and waterproof it and run the switches into the car so it can be turned on and off from inside!

Will be great for track days!

Strapped it to the roll bar on Sunday and went for a short spin.

Couldn't believe the quality.

Trouble is it doesn't come with a memory card, so I used what I had which was only 32 mb and ordered a 16 gb for £13.00

I will give it a proper test at a T/D in a couple of weeks.

My only gripe is that under heavy vibration it cuts out the sound for a short while, but tbh it was only £15 and the roads i was on were st

Youtube also completely ruined the framerate and quality somehow, the quality is really quite good on the computer

The keyring quality isnt much to shout about (i have one!) but i like that one that loses the sound (for the picture quality). Would be great for a picture in picture kind of edit, so in that case could use the sound from another cam?

I'm pretty confident on a track it would be great, the roads i was driving on were seriously bad to get it to do that.

I quite like the look at that for bolting into the race car. Is there any way you can use a normal tripod mount screw into either the camera or one of it's supplied holders, or another way to mount it in a way scrutineers would be happy?

I bought a couple of these (imported from Hong Kong) after looking at footage on youtube (Search on MD80 Spy Cam). They are going to get the first run out for real at Spa on a trackday. I am just going to make a bracket to attach them to the roll cage.

I am also going to race with them. They are so small that I dont think you will need to covince a scrutineer too much. If they hit you on the head you would be lucky to even hear it hit.

The only thing to be aware of is the Class 4 SDHC cards are a little jerky. If you buy Class 6 cards that improves it as they can write the data faster to the card.

Track day is good friday so i will upload some footage.
