Hi booked first track day at brands got a car 3 drivers and a garage booked. Firstly does a registered driver automatically become eligible as passenger. Do we need to bring fuel or do they sell there. And what other essentials do we need to bring.

I've not done many track days compared to some on PH but a few thoughts........

Without a wish to insult you, whatever you do don't bring a bucket load of confidence. If you feel you're going really fast and starting to push it...........slow down a bit and go home with your car in one piece wink

I normally fuel up as close as possible to the track (I've not tracked Brands but from memory there's a station about 1 mile for the entrance).

Depending on how many sessions you have you'll simply go back out at lunch and re-fuel. At Goodwood I once managed a whole 70 miles on a full tank in my 997 and needed to go out mid session to ensure I could get in some more track time (and get home!) biggrin

Have you got a helmet? It may be checked to ensure it meets that tracks regulations and it's OK for motor racing.

On the assumption your car is good to go, brakes OK etc. you will still need to check your tyres before and during the day, you will be amazed at the temperature increase once you're on track, likewise you'll need to top up with air once you're on your way home. Failing to look at tyres is a common mistake and can make have a detrimental effect on the car's handling.

Don't forget to take your common sense and as a 'newbe' be aware and mindful of other drivers on track - you don't want to be the tt who blocked and didn't play the game etc.

You'll feel like a driving god after a while and it's great taking your car to a place where there are no cameras etc. and you can 'open her up', but be safe and come away ready for the next track day.

More than anything have great day smile

yes drivers can automatically pax.

There is a furl station near brands but I take my own so I dont waste time off track as I only have a 25l tank.

I've never had a helmet checked.
