Took part in a fastest lap thing on an f1 simulator in selco, won a supercar experience thingymabob. Happy days.

So its round Dunsfold Aerodrome (top gear track?), 3 miles each in 2 supercars

3 miles is a bit rubbish but should be enough for a couple of laps and it was free so deffinately not complaining.

Here's the list of cars

Ferrari 355
Ferrari 360
Ferrari f430
Lamborghini Gallardo
Aston martin v8 vantage
Aston martin DB9
Audi R8
Porsche 911
Porsche 996 Turbo
Nissan GTR
Ariel Atom

I can't make my mind up as to what to chose. Each probably has their merits but i want something with a bit of character as I'm probably going to be nannied around the track. I'm thinking atom and Ferrari f430 at the minute although keep changing my mind.

Anyone ever had a go in any of the above and what were they like?

Oh and I'm 6ft 4 so If there is any that are unsuitable then please do let me know. Many thanks

Have you driven any of them before? Personally I'd go for the Atom and one other. I'd go for something I've not driven before and go for the R8. Any of the Ferraris should be a blast in different ways but I've driven them.

Not driven any of them, in fact not driven anything faster than a golf gti so all these cars would be quick in my head, I think the atom is nailed on but just not sure about the others, I'm favouring the Ferraris purely for the noise and if it was a Ferrari 360cs that would be the other car in a heartbeat but its probably a standard one.

Ariel Atom. Try and drive it last otherwise everything else will seem slow wink

This is from Dunsfold in an Atom:

Personally the 355 may be a bit underwhelming on a track, however if you haven't driven one it is arguably the last classic Ferrari and has a noise to die for. I love them to bits but it isn't a quick car. The R8 I would avoid, but the Atom would feel rabid.

An interesting pairing would also be a 996/355 or 996/360 if you want to do a mini porsche vs Ferrari test.
