Hi all,

Does anyone know of anyone selling Yokohama AD08R's that have them in stock?

I'm looking for 4 x 245/40/17's.

Tried camskill, ears and countless other places. Yokohama UK only have 1 available and aren't due anymore until 21/05/15.

Demon tweeks have a set but they're too expensive and after the salesman telling me he could charge what he liked for them am reluctant to purchase from them.

Thanks in advance.

Sam

Have you tried Adams and Page?

I had a quote from them yesterday and they had stock of the sizes I was asking about:

2 x 225-45-17 £118.00 + vat each
2 x 205-45-16 £108.00 + vat each

(That's a fitted/balanced price)

Many thanks for this - haven't tried them but will give them a call shortly.

Really useful, never even heard of them before. Google isn't very good for searching for tyre places..

eBay? Seem to be a few suppliers on there who are a bit cheaper than DT.

Thanks mate - I already tried those and they were really professional but don't have them in stock sadly. They also said there's a price reduction to £129 when they get them back in smile

I also contacted Yokohama Uk direct and they've said there's no chance of any coming before May 21 but apologised for the delay and said this doesn't usually happen.

It's going to be a case of finding somewhere that has them in stock.

Please keep suggestions coming folks if you have any smile

Also try George Polley motorsport they are the lowest cost supplier of Yokohama competition tyres in the uk and also do Yoko road tyres so you may be lucky - worth a try ?

Thanks mate, yup tried them too. The seller emailed me back quickly at first then silence.. Guessing he can't get them either..

Have emailed a couple of places in Germany. One that's been kindly linked above and another that I've used before when at the 'ring.

Hoping they'll get back..

Sam,

Are you not willing to try anything else?

Im currently running N2S-R or whatever they are called (Nankang track tyres).

Good so far - a bit more squeal compared to R888s, but hang in feel well.

FYI, drop to 235 for stock:

Probably not much help, but if you fancied trying something else

Bought when I was going to track my car, now going to sell it so no longer required.

Hoosier 245 40 ZR17, used, wear marks reached, no idea what life that means they have left,

Any questions please ask (4 available in total)

Hey Kam,

Thanks mate and hope you're wellsmile

I've tried a few of the cheaper tyres and have found similar results... Upto around 110 they're ok but past that they start shaking the car to pieces! Also found cracks going across the tyre. These faults I'll hopefully not find with a more expensive tyre - certainly the Michelin pilot super sports on my m3 were brilliant and even after 22k road miles and a few track days still gave 1.1g just as much as some of the cheaper track tyres I've tried.

The nankangs do have a good rep though but are about the same cost as the yokos. Same as the Achilles 123s.

federal rsr's have a good rep too but I've been through two sets and had the same problems with both, great when new then junk not long after due to them going out of shape.

Have kind of given up experimenting, think it'll work out cheaper in the long run getting a more expensive tyre.

Let's see if I still think that once I've used a set of these yokos! wink

Thanks for the offer mate, are you sure they're track day tyres? - look like they could be drag tyres but not sure..

Tbh the tread I have on my existing tyres is probably slightly more than that so not really worth it for me but thanks again smile
