PH Trackday - Goodwood - 12/12/15

Afternoon all,

I haven't seen (most probably missed) a thread dedicated to the upcoming Pistonheads trackday at Goodwood this Saturday (12/12/15). I was just wondering who on here is going, and what they'll be in. I'll be in the silver Elise S1

Didn't know that was on to be honest!


I only looked at the online choices of Brands or Silverstone on Sunday and chose the local one as I will be teaching my eldest boy track-craft.

I even bought a novice 'X' sticker for the back of my car to let the really fast boys know he's still learning/likely to take the wrong line etc...

Hadn't seen that thread, oops!

It rained the last time I was at the circuit - wouldn't surprise me if it did again! I've got a set of track wheels/tyres, but as they're slicks, it's probably not a wise idea to use them if the weather is pants.

If it is a `PH Trackday`, whoever has organised it needs to spread the word better next time !

This is the Trackday section, surely it would have made sense to post the thread here rather than in the specific Goodwood section ???

It is the Piston Heads Track day, the thread in the 'Goodwood section' was never initiated by PH, it started with a few people asking if the TD was an 'if' or 'when', then spread to then being booked and followed by a few people actually saying they booked, so I have to agree with you, in my opinion, it would have been better served up and promoted by the PH admin by kick starting the event in the Track day section, as it appears it has been put out there very low key. I suspect it will end up fully subscribed anyway.
This said, as of yesterday afternoon, Goodwood were stating availability of tickets were 'good', so I assume that there's places still to be had.

Anyone know what time sign on is...???

And wife might list to blag a couple of passenger laps in the A45 & Golf R as she's currently car shopping and they are on her list.....

Looks like it'll be dry by the time we start, seems to dry out quite quickly there too... fingers crossed

No idea on the time to sign on, it was suggested to me to get down there for 7:30

These are the timings:

0715 – Main gates open.

0745 – JSP opens for business.

0800– Sign on.

0800 - Noise tests commence

0830 – Driver Briefing

0845 – Show round

0900 – Track Live

1200 – 1300 Lunch

1300 – Track live

1600 – Track closes

There's going to be a good few down there tomorrow, (still awaiting with interest to what PH admin are bringing to play), and it's not just the list here, even with 40 cars, whilst Goodwood's not everyone's cup of tea, the rotation should come around quite quickly with the 10 car sessions, unless there's flags out and sessions stopped that is..., look forward to chatting to you guys tomorrow. I do hope its dry, although not looking good at the moment.

Weathers looks ok-ish. 32 cars booked as the on line booking says there are 8 spaces available.

Looking forward to seeing a mix of cars on track. I will be in the black Clio, feel free to come over and chat
