What car Charlie? Lotus on Track are doing both, & not many if indeedy any better trackdays out there than LOT days, if you have an eligible motor.

My old Subaru Legacy, so not eligible for LOT i'm afraid.

We're at Zolder for an unsilenced day after our Spa double header in July.

Be aware of noise limits at both circuits though. A standard R300 will fail noise on a regular (quiet) day at Zolder - hence why we always book unsilenced days.

Zandvoort has a higher limit and our R300's are fine there, but a de-cat sequential R300 will fail - so that gives an idea of the sort of levels you're looking at.

Zolder is strict on noise as Jonny says. 105db drive-by normally and a 2 strikes and you're out policy. I got pulled there and I've never had an issue with a 105 limit anywhere else. A lift going by the meters will see you right though.

It's not 105dB drive-by, it's much lower - don't have the figures to hand, but more like 92/94dB from memory.

I think it's 95 db drive by. And each car gets a transponder fitted so there's no hiding.

Yep, standard V6 Exiges can fail at Zolder.

Zolder is good fun but I prefer Zandvoort.

Sorry about that and just checked the info from my visit... 94dB drive by. I'm usually tested at around 96-98 static but tripped the meters at 112dB! After that I made a bodge end for the exhaust from a coke can (until it melted) and lifted for the 2 meters. You can see them in this vid'. First one is on the left wall at the start of the back straight and the other is on the right just after the crest approaching the hairpin.

And to make things worse you cannot fit track day silencers at Zolder it they extend past the car's bodywork.

You have to have a very quiet car to let rip at Zolder on standard days, which is why it is all the more ironic that it is the venue for TVR NL CC annual event. It is hugely entertaining though, and highly recommended for TVR owners.

Thank you, that is extremely useful, hopefully now I won't get black flagged this coming June.

If you do get flagged for noise they'll give you a print off in the office just after the fuel station listing all your measurements on that session. I think there's another meter under the bridge at the finish line however I was way over at the other 2 but under there.
