Somewhere to shakedown racer?

Hi,

I have recently restored a racing saloon car and I'm looking for somewhere local to Essex to exclusively test the car for the first time and perform some engine tuning.

Has anybody got any suggestions?

How long do you need? Ive seen bedford do exclusive running of the track to a certain wealthy individual during the lunch break, though youd still have to meet noise regs.

Try Car Limits at North Weald.

Or track day / track evening at Snetterton if it’s not too far?

Thanks you for the suggestions. Snetterton is a thought but it is literally just an initial shakedown. Mainly to get some running time on the engine and tweak the fuel setup.
Wouldn't need to be a massive area.

Go to a track day at a snetterton and do it there ( as in turn up for the day but don’t actually go on track no one will notice)

Is the car a Capri ?

My post was referring to a mr R. Atkinson driving a purple mclaren f1... he span it a few times (bedford SEN layout)
