Kirkistown Trackday - anyone done it?
Discussion
Has anyone done a trackday at Kirkistown recently?
I really fancy a go around the circuit, and the fee is cheap enough to mean that even with the ferry cost is not much more expensive than a day at Brands GP or Silverstone GP - and I can make a holiday of it.
Just need to know, what it is like as a track, is there a restaurant on site?, super unleaded near by?
I'll be taking a Hyundai i20N.

tia,
Haven't been there for 15 or so years (so this may be of limited help) but I remember it being a very fast and well-sighted track, as well as being a good track to spectate at. I think there was a cafe on-site but when we were there we ate at the burger vans as they we more convenient.

I live about 15 mins up the road. It's a good track, quite fast, decent run offs. Always a lot of motorsport events on there. You should find good enough coverage of it on YouTube. The Trackskills days are very well run and you can get some tuition if you want.
Yes, there is food on site, and the local petrol station in Kircubbin has Super.
Here's a good video might help you...

I did a track skills day there and had a great time, the other drivers that day were courteous and safe, noone was there to set a lap record or destroy their p+j unlike mondello where everyone seems to think if they just bunch up more and risk it a bit harder they'll be spotted for F1 next season.
