Im finding very few jobs at the moment, is anyone having much luck out there at the moment?

no, i'm trying to get a placement (part of my degree). Been trying for about 6 months now, and i'm now offering to do it for free, but still nothing!!

I've been a trader in the betting market so have been doing some trading from home to pay the bills, but it's such a boring existence. I miss mixing with other people and enjoying the social side of things.

Unless you're an intern for a MP of course and I'll bet there's a few MPs out there who have been claiming expenses for 'employing' them

Well I have managed to get a minimum wage job to tide me over, just a few hours a week though.

After 6 years of architectural training at university the construction sector seems to have collapsed. I remember when I started out the prospectus boasted a 99% employment rate and now no-one from my year has managed to secure a job in architecture.

If you're good enough at it to pay the bills doing it solo, would you have a shot at finding a couple of other people and setting up a company to do it on a larger scale, thus getting the interaction side back?

Was made redundant in Fed. Haven't found anything since. Not even had an interview after applying for plenty of jobs, all I am perfectly capable of doing, most with previous experience in the exact same job.

I'm starting to get desperate now but nowhere to turn...

Never really thought of that, I suppose it's possible but finding the right people would be difficult.

Depending on your situation I would either take a gap year or I would try and find some contract work abroad maybe?

For me I have had no issues at all, but I think this must be because there is always a market for people that will sell things..

I would imagine for people that are actually skilled, it is very hard..
