Posting this here on the off chance that someone may be able to give some advice on what to do or who to contact.

Graduated in May this year with a 2:2 in Building Surveying from Glasgow Caledonian University. Luckily, through a university contact, managed to get three months work carrying out condition surveys on a Local Authorities non Domestic stock. This has been rewarding both financially and in terms of experience. However the contract is due to end within the new few weeks.

I have spent time looking online for any jobs which I feel I could apply for or at least get to an interview stage for. However these searches have not yielded many possibilities. I hope to meet a representative from one of the largest construction industry recruitment companies at the end of this week with a view to hopefully opening up some more avenues.

Money isn't as much of an issue as getting work with a company who will be prepared to put me through my APC (Assessment of Professional Competence). I would happily work for less money than I am on just now, just to ensure I could work towards becoming chartered.

I'm here looking for advice from anyone who has been through this stage or anyone who could perhaps point me in the right direction of where to apply for work. Really just reached a point where speculative C.V's sent to companies appears to be the last resort.

Thanks in advance

Malcolm
