I've been thinking about getting a professional qualification as evidence of my experience. In particular an ISEB in Project Management and Support.

The BCS (British Computer Society) website details various levels of this qualification (foundation, practitioner, higher). It seems like there is a lot of work involved and a fairly thorough examination in the more advanced certificates.

Does anyone here hold one of these qualifications? If not have you heard of them? I'm trying to establish whether they are useful and respected in the industry in order to justify spending the time and money to get one...

Thanks

I have an ISEB foundation in Software Testing. I got the qualification about 6 years ago and it wasn't too difficult. It helps getting jobs through recruitment agencies.
