Being a Jedi qualifies for anti-discrimination
Discussion
You just could not make this up even if you wanted to. I really had to look hard to see if I had been sent an April 1st missive by mistake.

Article title : "What constitutes a Philosophical Belief?"
A recent ET pre-hearing review decided that an individual's beliefs about climate change were capable of being a belief for the purposes of the Regulations. The employee won his claim against the employer that they had discriminated against him on account of his views on the environment [WTF!!!]
In the 2001 Census, just of 390,000 of the 52,000,000 people in England and Wales wrote that their religion was Jedi - making it the 4th largest reported belief. Whilst the UK courts have yet to recognise Jedi as a religion, an ahderent who is able to demonstrate that it has a clear belief system which has a profound effect on their way of life may well be thus entitled to protection from discrimination under the law
Perhaps employers need a new religion that enshrines the deeply held belief that employees need to be kind, considerate, never use ETs, work hard and only take sick days when they are actually ill and not because of a bad curry'n'pint.
Think we could claim discrimination? anyone up for this?
