Holiday Pay Entitlement - Please Help

Hi, although I'm weekly paid my employer insists that my holiday entitlement is on an accrued basis, based on hours worked. This seems odd to me by hey hoo.

I'm hoping somebody clever will be able to help me out here with a calculation as they don't seem to know themselves.

I have worked, since 01/04/09, 1292.75 hours and had 12 days on standby (avaliable to work). Not sure if the standby days count but I can't figure out how to get 28 days into this.

Please put me out of my misery, it's cold!!

Thanks, I did see that page but was looking for a calculator.

I've divided 28 days holiday by the number of working days since 01/04 then divided that by 8 for a normal working day and then multiplied that by the number of hours worked.

Does that sound about right?

it sounds right but why isnt your employer just working it out at 2.33 days per month accrued ?

I've worked out that there were 188 working days since 01/04

So -

28 / 188 = 0.149

0.149 / 8 = 0.0186

0.0186 x 1292.75 = 24.068

How's that?
