overseas IT

hello currently working within the government and MOD on various IT projects.

just wondering if anyone has or is currently doing IT in the deployed enviroment eg iraq,afghan etc or just generally overseas,im looking for an IT position in one of the above places,contract or permy,

anybody any experience

I am indeed in the wonderful paradise that is West Africa.......

Ex-Pat IT roles are quite thin on the ground sadly, but they do crop up.
There are a number of web-based job portals for offshore workers that have IT sections, but there are seldom large numbers of roles.
