Hi all,

I am hoping that someone will be able to help me by giving me some feedback on my CV.

I have been looking for work for a month and although agents say I have a great CV and good experience and skills I have only had 3 interviews.

So if you think you can help and are happy for me to PM my CV to you for feedback I would be grateful for your assistance.

Basic summary of my working history:

I am a PA with 9 years experience, during which time I have worked within the media industry and for various law firms. I have worked for the MD's, Head of Departments, Senior Partners, Associates, Trainees and the Mayor of Tunbridge Wells.
I also have Secretary Co-ordinator/Supervisor experience, looking after a team of 10 Secretaries and I am highly IT Literate with Microsoft Office 2003 Specialist qualifications.

I have been out of work for about the same amount of time but I have had 6 interviews, I keep thinking that it can be better as well.

So I have signed up to a learndirect CV course last week which I found on Gumtree which was in my area, haven’t taken it yet as they have not set a date yet.

Hopefully I can get some ideas to make my CV stand out more.

There maybe one close to you as well.

I have to admit it seems like there are more people going for the jobs then what there use to be as I always ask how many they are interviewing and how many have applied to get a idea of what the numbers are.

I do this by chatting to the receptionists or looking at the visitor book.

Have you registered on www.secsinthecity.co.uk ?

My wife uses it when she is looking for a new role. Some of the agencies on it are better than others but if you can read through the usual selection of dross you can usually find a few names and contact numbers that could come up trumps.

My MD is recruiting for a PA at the moment. Glasgow may be a bit too far north for you though!

Hi all thank you for looking and commenting. I am signed up to lots of agencies and look on loads of internet PA job websites already such as Reed.co.uk, Secsinthecity, Totaljobs etc but will keep trying.

Unfortunately Glasgow is a bit far to go!

For ease I attach a copy of my CV for Feedback. http://maximumjed.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/CV.doc

Thanks
