I've made a decision, after 9 years of building Powerboats I'd like to get back into Gas work.
From 1990 to 2001 I worked for a couple of companies installing, commissioning and servicing gas and oil heating systems. Domestic and industrial, warm air heaters, pipework, Gas Safety inspections etc.
I did the ACOPS twice (1990 & 1995) and ACS back in 2000.
I've contacted a local college and I'm qualified to take the CCN1 and whatever other courses I choose, be they domestic or non domestic.

If you were / are an employer would you (theoretically) consider me for a position given my experience?

I'm looking at forking out £350 for the CCN1 plus a couple of other courses myself, which shows my intent and determination to get back into the industry.

I'm wondering if I'll be spending a lot without a chance of being considered due to my 9 year absence from the job.

What do you guys think?
