intternal move and relocation package?

Hi all,

I recently was moved from one area of the business I work in to another, this has meant that I will need to relocate in order to do this new role.

My question is what rights do I have when raising the financial relocation package with my management team?

Info that will help in answering my question:
I am currently renting although will buy when we move
My other half will have to leave her job and search for a new one
I did not go through a recruitment process for this role, my role was just changed.

Very interested to know what I am entitled to as this is a big move from London to the North

I think it depends on your companies policy and your own situation.

I'll be interested in any responses as well as I'll be making a big move in the opposite direction (Scotland - Bristol) in the next couple of months.

Get it sorted before you commit.

I work for a smallish company and moved from Newcastle to Leeds.

I trusted them to see me ok, they gave me a (small) payrise which was the incentive to move. The expense package never came. Raising the issue in hindsight got a response of 'some of these things just go by the by.'

You have every right to raise it but if you are looking for protection under employment law then there will be none.
