LFW Tile fitting and repair work
Discussion
Well chaps,to cut a long story short, I have had many interesting years in the motor trade and at the start of 2008 I took a few courses in tile fitting etc.
I have always had a hankering to do something 'practical' and I saw what was coming in the motor trade.
Over the course of 2008 and 2009 I started out working part time-mainly week ends and combining holidays and days off to fit in larger jobs. I finally took the plundge (literally as it turned out later) and went full time last February and worked pretty much non stop until September last year when I had an unfortunate incident with some large, heavy tiles at the top of a ladder.Back into the motor trade for a while then. I am now fully repaired and I am looking at slowly getting myself back into things.
I developed a speciality for repair work, cracked and broken tiles from incorrect fitting over heated floors or badly prepared substrates to water damage repairs due to lack of tanking, that sort of thing. I am also happy to do straight forward fitting work (although not as satisfying)
I'm insured, have refs and I'm really a jolly nice chap with a very strong work ethic, so if you fellow PHers are on the look out for some tiling work to be completed, I would be happy to try and help.
West London is my hunting ground but I am happy to travel a bit if needed.I have a few adds on various t'internet sites but figured this could be another 'string to the bow'.
And, if you wanted to tackle a project yourself but are not totally confident on the correct tecniques-you know, setting out, how to cut tiles correctly, which adhesives to use-stuff like that, I also offer a half day/full day instruction session at a very reasonable cost.
PM me if there is interest and I will be happy to try and help.
Mods, hopefully this is ok For J&EM, I didnt think HG&DIY was the best place for this.
Cheers all
Ed
