I am currently applying to become a trainee recruitment consultant.

Had a few interviews and they all believe that I can earn in excess of 30/35K?

Is this true?

Cheers

You should expect a basic of £18,000 - £22,000 + commission.

On average, I would say the average commission rate is around 10%, you will be expected to bill £120k in year 1 so thats £30,000 - £34,000.

If you want any pointers, I own a Recruitment Agency and always happy to help.

Be prepared to work very hard to earn that money. Your effort determines your earning..

It's definitely doable but as has been pointed out that will depend on commission. If you have a lot of motivation and can take a knock then it's definitely a business with a lot of money to be made.

Completely dependent on the industry you recruit into. Some are doing well, others are on their arse.

earnings are realistic, however, its definately a case of what you put in you get out.

expect long hours wink
