Best ways of earning extra cash

Hi everyone. Myself and girlfriend both work full time, we rent a housing association flat which is quite cheap. She earns more than me, but still not very much considered the hours we do. So we are looking for extra ways to pay for lifes little luxuries. Has anyone been in the same position and had to work an extra job, and what did you do to get some extra pounds in every month.

surely depends on what skills you have to sell

when I was in my late teens I worked bars, and restaurants for what would be minimum wage

but then you just end up working day and night and become a wages slave...ok for a short time as a means to an end, but not a sustainable happy life... in my opinion anyway

you need to be more creative; think about ideas for small business instead...or use your time to improves your skills and earning power

..otherwise you will be a minimum wage slave forever.......

A friend of mine is a full time waiter and a part time rent boy. He makes around £16k a year waiting tables and around
£7-8k as a rent boy. I did consider taking him up on his offer to work with him but my gf didn't like the idea.

It may be questionable in the eyes of some people, but it's business and it is a good money maker. Also it is cash in hand. One of my friend's civil partners is an escort and he made a five-figure income from it. If I was shaggable and really desperate for money, I'd do the same.

When I was young, handsome and 3 stone lighter I used to work as a function barman. I worked saturday nights, from 6pm until the last guest was finished drinking. Earned about £4/hr (in 1998) but would usually get £100-£150 in tips for the night.

It was the only job I needed as a student and kept me out of the pub (and spending money) on a saturday night.

Got a lot of shags too (barmaids, bridesmaids and wedding guests. No brides though.)

Not sure how active this thread is, but if there is any active newspaper where you live that people pay for contact that newspaper to see if they have people deliver them.
I know someone who delivers a certain newspaper.
90 newspapers 6 days a week earning £1 a week per paper.
Thats £90 then add the tips in it comes to about £120 a week.
2 hours a day.
