Some advise please as i'm not sure where to start on this one.

My Mum has two positions within a school, one is a three hours a week contract and the other is the rest (about 20 hours).

The 20 hour position is being made redundant so she will only be left with 3 hours a week and she has also been told that as she will still have a contact with the school (3 hours) she may not be eligible for redundancy money.

Is this within the law as it seems they are only keeping her 3 hour contract to stop them paying redundancy money for the main job.

Hopefully that makes enough sense, any help would be appreciated!

Quite messy but if the contracts are independent entities then I would imagine that any redundancy would be dependent on the terms set out in each contract.
