Mechanical Design Draughtsman / Engineer – Solidworks / 3D AutoCAD
Our client is a leading engineering company based in Cheshire offering complete turnkey solutions from concept design, prototyping through to manufacture and site installation.
The role:
You will be involved in existing and new product development as well as project management. Ensuring CDM & health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times will also play a key part.
The role is varied and will encompass major refurbishment, new build, capital repair and mechanical installation. You will be part of the design team and be responsible for managing a number of projects from conception to completion. Typically including client meetings, agreeing commercial terms, project planning, resourcing and cost control through to commissioning and financial close.
The person:
You will be either formally educated to HNC/HND or Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or be a time served mechanical design engineer.
You must have experience of Solidworks and 3D AutoCAD and be fully competent in both programs.
Ideally have 3D modelling experience through to manufacturing drawings of the following:
• Structures such as supporting platforms, access stairways conforming to the relevant British Standard.
• Plant pipework routes and associated pipe supports
• Pressure Vessel
• Heavy structural mild steel fabrication techniques
Salary between £32,500 and £35,000
