Redundancy - Part Time Employee

Mrs Blue works part time in the local shop and has done so for 3 years. The owners have decided to retire and are closing the shop. Will Mrs blue be entitled to any redundancy pay? The shop made a loss this year. She has been given 1 weeks formal notice, and she works circa 8-12 hours a week.

Mrs Blue should get 1 week (Average part time pay.) for each full year's service, 1.5 weeks if she is over 41.

She is entitled to 3 wks stautory notice if she has 3 yrs but less than 4 yrs service.

As long as it's full years...no. If it is then she should also get two weeks notice. If it's not she will not be entitled to redundancy pay.
