Contract vs permenant
Discussion
Having been contracting via my own limited company for the past year and bit, I've just had a chat with a company I've worked with before about working for them full time. I accept that a full time job is going to on a lower salary than I can make as a contractor, but there's the job security (short term rather than thinking it's a job for life) aspect that makes full time a bit more attractive. At the mmoment I work pretty much exclusivly on government stuff, and the current cutbacks could mean a lot less contract work around for the next year or 2, or alternatively it could mean the loose a load of full time civil servants and then have to get contractors in to do the work.
Anyone here gone from contract to full time? If so how much less cash than you were making before did you accept?
