Do I quit my perm job for better temp job with prospects...

Having been made redundant end of July I took on a night security job to tide me over, the hours are very long and you work 7 days in a row so I've been looking pretty hard for another job in Facilities management (where I came from).
Now, the perfect job has come up, good money but the downside is it is working on a project that ends in a around nine months-year or so and will be working as a temp.
They have made 2 other temps permanent from the same recruiter and another given a contract and are a large FM provider so prospects are pretty good.
Do I get out of my secure (no pun intended) job and make a jump back into my field (and working on a very prestigious site) or play safe and wait for something permanent, which may be a long time leaving me stale with no recent working experience and an unemployable security guard.
PS The recruiter wants an answer by tomorrow!

Cheers for your input, most people have said this, I should mention my security job isn't a bad one apart from hours everybody is nice, the job is pretty easy and its 10 mins drive plus it is secure.
The other one requires me out of my comfort zone and making an impression and working hard again with a 45 min train journey.
The money equates to roughly the same as now purely because I work 56 hour weeks and get paid breaks.
The offered job is 8-5 being paid 8 hours and works out the same after tax and train fares so I won't be financially much better off!
I have been swinging both ways (Wahaaay) about this all day as both jobs have their pros and cons but just can't come to a decision I'm comfortable with!
I guess when I wake up after my nightshift I will just have to spurt an answer down the phone!
Another negative to taking it is I will get shafted by the security company for leaving so early and have to pay £250 for my s
te uniform that cost about £30 and another £500ish for my licences..

te uniform that cost about £30 and another £500ish for my licences..The thing is though, as you say, the security job is not going anywhere. You will have to take some risk with the new job but it has prospects and is what you actually wish to do with your life.
If your risk does not pay off then you still have your SIA licence(s) and so this will make it easier to get straight back into security again in a year. If you DO make it then potentially you could be onto a winner in a few years time in regards to promotion prospects, better pay etc.
Play the long term game and remember that many people do not regret what they have done, only what they didn't. It's better to have tried and landed on your backside than to just stay comfortable and spend your days wondering what could have been.

It's scare though isn't it, just given mine in today for a job I have been in for years and although I know I am off to better prospects you can't help wondering if it will go wrong as at the moment I am in my comfort zone where as the new job is going to be a kick up the back-side in terms of the amount of work and also in thinking a lot more on my feet.
