I'd have made sure my dyslexia was diagnosed when I was 5 not a week before my o levels, I would have turned up for the exams and not been expelled a week later..

I have been thinking along these lines this weekend.

I would have recognised how art and sciences could complement each other.

I am an engineer now, but i would love to have the arty design skills/experience and be able to do yacht/ship design.

Not sure I would change the O'levels that I took, but I would have spent a lot of time trying to convince the RAF that having a female fighter pilot would be a good move (they were only offering desk jobs to girls then)

Banking I guess (and make sure I was good at it of course).

i'd do the exact same gcse's, they don't matter a tosh and i took the ones that interested me.

at a level, i would have also probably done the same one [design, physics, maths] but ignored the advice i was given that you can't study architecture without an art portfolio. that's bks.

whether i'd still go to uni given the chance again is a much harder question.

:-O Are you me! I would do those same A-levels again aswell.

But unsure whether I'd go to Uni or not - I'd love it if somewhere offered a 2 year degree by actually working full speed at it, 9-5, 50 weeks a year for 2 years. it would suck at the time, but I'dbe 3 or 4 years ahead of where I am now I'f id done that.

Alternatively I would have loved to have done a really good apprenticship in some kind of skilles/technical trade, and been an expert at it by now.

GCSEs/ A-Levels the same.

I would however have changed my career from the boring (although reasonably paid) IT work that I am in to something different, I'm thinking of a trade, perhaps a sparkie or a carpet fitter.

horse dentist, my friends dad has a horse dentist to do his horse teeth, the guy gets flown all round the world, gets picked up taken to the airport, first class to dubai etc, 5 star hotel...cleans some teeth and gets taken back home and earns a good whack for it.

or a doctor

Trust me, that is still no guarantee!

I would have done something along the lines of either Civil Engineering or whatever it takes to be an airline pilot. Something that actually interests me, as when I was 15/16 I didn't know my arse from my elbow.
