Ok, brief scenario synopsis:
10th November, all 20-odd employees at my company were called into a meeting to be told the company was going into liquidation and we were all being made redundant as a result. The liquidation administrators gave us all copies of the RP1 form which we dutifully filled in in order to claim our redundancy pay, wages owed, payment in lieu of notice, etc.

The company was officially liquidated on the 29th Nov and our forms will have been processed then but obviously no money has been paid out yet.

Last week I received a letter from the administrators detailing all the creditors and the amounts owed, which as an ex-employee I am obviously one. However, the amount owed is around double that I would be expecting to receive as statutory redundancy, so where would I stand with regards to making a claim for the difference? Do I need to wait and see how much is paid initially as I'm guessing that as the company was declared insolvent then anything paid out will be by the Insolvency Service Redundancy Payments Office?

First time being made redundant so not really sure how to proceed - any advice is welcome, thanks!
