Performance related pay that isn’t sales.

I’m looking for a new job.

I’m hopelessly lost when it come to choosing what it is I actually want to do but I do know that I work very well when I have some sort of target to hit.

In my current job, I can pretty much do a whole weeks work in one day if I try, but then I’m twiddling my thumbs for 4 more days…

Are there any jobs out there that reward employees for working their ass off which isn’t sales related? If there is one thing I hate, it’s trying to persuade someone to buy something just so I can eat. No offence to the sales folk out there, it’s just not my cup if tea.

I work in a hospital pharmacy right now so customer service skills are pretty awsome as well as speedy but precise work. Also do alot of business type stuff including meeting reps and negotiating contracts. I also know a fair bit about cost saving and eeking out every last penny of profit. (The government wont listen to me though and continue to absent mindedly piss our money away, buts thats got nothing to do with this.)

I think all my skills are transferable, I just dont know where to start.

Target based work, not sales and depending on where you are the money can be OK.

Not necessarily.

Recruitment doesn't have to be New Business / Cold Calling / Selling.

Negotiating is a key skill within Resoucing and I know a fair few Resourcers who have stuck with Resourcing and made a good career out of it earning £40k+.

You could land yourself an Account Management position on a large account and act as a 360 Consultant but not actually conducting any New Business.

You're best bet is putting your CV onto a couple of the generalist job boards (reed, jobsite, monster) and seeing who contacts you with different opportunities.

If you end up in Recruitment I could guarntee you'll end up in a New Biz Consultant type role chasing the big money.
