NVQ 3 and work

I am 28 and at college doing level 2 VRQ Vehicle maintenance and repair which is a full time course, I have a Saturday job in a local gargae also. I was looking at doing NVQ 3 later this year in Vehicle maintenance but I believe you have to be employed as assessments are on the job. Does anyone know the min days a week I have to work to take NVQ 3, will my Saturday job be enough or do I need more days?
