Choosing between Money and Happiness Pt2 (We have progress)

Following on from my thread a few weeks back Here

I have been working my as off in current job, now performing at the highest % against target in my whole region, Hitting all targets and generally kicking ass.

I have also been (albeit Verbally) the job I was looking into.

New job is basically a 10k Paycut in basic (but greater chance for comission) But they have agreed to pay me the same basic I am currently on (with commission) for 6 months. Also I will be given a company car on startin (My choice, but I am liable for tax etc)

My concern is that 10k is a lot of money to make up to start breaking even, and that although I have 6 months grace, after that I am on my own, and will be expected to maintain that similar amount.

The job is exactly what I want to be doing, where I want to be and the company is fantastic and I know I will be supported.

So do I jump? Wife has left this up to me and is being amazing and will support me whatever I decide

I work for 1/3 of what I did this time last year. Best decision I ever made.
I'm happier,my work/life balance has improved, my priorities are right. Sure I have my days when I think "flippin heck, what I could do with the extra 2/3 wages." but those days are greatly outweighed by the days when that doesn't cross my mind!

I left my job at the end of the year, moved back up north and currently my salary is less than the tax I paid in my previous role, however, start each day with a walk down the beach with dog, pick little one up from school, took up golf again !! No longer driving 75k a year, best thing i think I will ever do !
